Sushi Tree

Edit: Prices seem to have gone up slightly unfortunately. Original post: A gem in the Coquitlam area. New restaurant, and a great place to grab a quick to-go snack. I’d highly recommend getting the staples; Crab Meat/Tuna/K-Spicy Chicken. Prices are very very reasonable and two is more than enough for a quick meal meal. I’ve been there two times in a day because the food is so damn good. Highly recommended for take-out, celebrations, parties and social gatherings. Staff are also pretty nice. Prices range from $2+ to $3+ per Inari.

Friendly, fast, affordable, and sooo yummy! My favourite are the spicy tuna, and salmon or chicken teriyaki. Some like the teriyaki, aburi and unagi only taste good if made fresh though. Their rice bowl is also a great cheap lunch option.

Large inari topped with fresh ingredients and filled very tasty sushi rice in a nice tofu pocket. Prices are reasonable considering the size and work required to assemble as these are practically made to order since the stock on the shelves run out as quickly as they make them. Gem of a shop!

This place is awesome! The inari (sweet tofu) rice rolls remind me of the rolls my mom used to make when I was a little kid. Except the ingredients here are much more luxurious I personally recommend the salmon, tuna, and shrimp. The seafood is super fresh. I even loved the scrambled egg, which I was on the fence about at first. They torch the inari slightly on the outside, so it has a nice smokey flavour The staff are SUPER friendly. My friend and I talked about how we would come back just for the service. They gave out free samples over the weekend for their soft opening, and I immediately ran to the store to buy and try all the other flavours! Happy to have a new cozy, delicious, friendly little restaurant near my house

This place is great for a quick snack, since you can only get take-out here anyways! I tried the chopped scallop, aburi salmon, and spicy tuna; chopped scallop was my favorite (…thank you for the advice, previous Google reviewers ). However, I do have to admit, I was secretly tempted to just eat the yummy toppings and leave a large portion of the plain rice on the bottom. The inari is almost like a giant nigiri sushi except it’s wrapped in the sweet tofu wrap; I personally felt like there was too much rice in proportion to the toppings (but that may be in reference to eating inari, in general, and not specific to Sushi Tree ). Also, it’s ~$4/per inari, but I felt like I probably needed to eat about 4 of these to be full, because each are pretty light, despite all the rice. In summary, I would probably get this again for a quick snack if I happened to be in the area, but I probably wouldn’t make a trip specifically for it; decent experience overall!

Lovely and yummy! Staff who helped me was so lovely and friendly! She had braces, I'm sorry, I'm not sure what her name was. We got 6 inari sushi pockets and they were AMAZING. I would definitely come back and have them again. There is no seating in Sushi Tree, we just sat in a grassy patch nearby to eat them, which was no problem.

Nice, small spot for inari sushi, around $3.75 per piece. Solid size, great flavour and many different options! Not many places to get fresh inari sushi, so this is definitely a unique and special restaurant in the area. Easy to miss as it’s tucked away just across from the library, but definitely a place to stop by for a light lunch or a delicious snack!
